Fraser’s Hill, or Bukit Fraser, is a hilltown resort village around 100km north of Kuala Lumpur Malaysia at a height of around 1300m and offers a retreat from the heat and humidity with temperatures of around 20 deg C and lower humidity. The highland rainforest has a number of walking trails and there is a large range of birdlife here which attracts many bird watchers.
It has been many years since I have visited Fraser’s Hill so it was nostalgic to revisit recently. Nothing much has changed other than some new condominium holiday apartments which have been built. Unfortunately a lot of the area is fairly run down with abandoned and poorly maintained bungalow houses and a fairly limited number of rathe ordinary food outlets.
We stayed at The Hill apartments which offered some great views over the main mountain range to the north.
