KOMTAR (abbreviation for Tun Abdul Razak Complex) is a skyscraper complex of 5 buildings in central George Town, Penang in Malaysia. At the time of completion in 1985 it was the tallest skyscraper in Southeast Asia at 231.7 metres. The complex contains office and retail space, a major bus terminal and the seat of the Penang state government.
The top floors of the KOMTAR tower were rebuilt in 2014 and 2016 now known as The Top with a new observatory deck, Window on The Top on deck 65 and an open-air deck on the 68th floor. from The Top you have stunning panoramic views over George Town and over to mainland Malaysia. The 68th floor stands at a height of 246.3 metres and features a restaurant called Top View and a small semi-circular skywalk extending beyond the edge of the main building.
