This book is a collection of triptychs that I have prepared from my portfolio of images and is now available on Amazon.
A triptych is a piece of art made of three sections or panels. It is used to show a sequence of a story, different aspects of the same subject, or show elements in each section that are related or complementary. The triptych is displayed together as a single piece.
A photographic triptych is commonly arranged with a plain border between the individual images. This can be one large image split into three parts or separate images that are part of a theme. The triptych can have great visual or aesthetic appeal imparting a powerful message.
The number three is the number of good-fortune and is considered to be the number of harmony, wisdom and understanding. Three is also the number of time: past, present, future; birth, life, death; beginning, middle, end. Additionally three is regarded as the number of the divine and is a sacred number in many religions.
