Capela de Santa Ana, Salir do Porto, Portugal

Opposite the small town of Salir do Porto on the west coast of Portugal and situated on the end of a small promontory is the beautiful Capela de Santa Ana or Santa Ana Chapel. To get to this small chapel you can drive around the bay and then walk the last bit for about 500 m on a small rugged dirt track that takes you down to the catholic chapel. From there you get an excellent view over the bay to the town of Salir do Porto.

The small town of Salir do Porto is located on the south bank of the beautifully shell-shaped bay of São Martinho do Porto which was pleasant to walk around with a selection of shops, cafes and restaurants along the front overlooking the scenic bay. I found the fabulous old abandoned Hotel Parque up one of the side streets which must have been an impressive hotel in its day.
