We took a nostalgic trek up the Gruinard River which had been visited a number of times previously to take my father’s (https://highlanderimagesphotography.com/2019/05/27/gruinard-river-wester-ross-scotland/ ) and mother’s ashes (https://highlanderimagesphotography.com/2022/05/11/gruinard-river-a-final-farewell-doreen-taylor-1932-2020/) there as a final resting place.
Luckily the weather held, up as heavy rain had been forecast, allowing us to take the walk up by the riverside to the place where we had laid the ashes and leave a small diary in the geocache box and check on the contents.
We had some time and the rain had still not arrived so we walked further up the trail where we got a good view of An Teallach. One day I will plan to walk further up this track which ultimately goes to Loch na Sealga.
