Middle Den, Kirkcaldy

I took a nostalgic walk through the Middle Den in Kirkcaldy, Scotland during a visit to Scotland. I had not been there for many years so it was good to revisit after so long. The path leads from Hayfield Road up to Dunnikier Way following the Den Burn.

There is a lovely house at the entrance to Middle Den at the Hayfield Road end.

At this time of year many of the trees were very bare but with the golden light from the sun shining through it looked very beautiful.

There are a number of graded mountain bike trails through these woods adding another attraction to this area.

At the top end of the path was my old school, Kirkcaldy High School.

We then cut through a small path back to Hendry Road and as we walked through this section we were lucky to see 3 roe deer.
