panorama
/panəˈrɑːmə/
noun
noun: panorama; plural noun: panoramas
- an unbroken view of the whole region surrounding an observer.”the tower offers a wonderful panorama of Prague”
- a picture or photograph containing a wide view.
- a complete survey or presentation of a subject.
I frequently take panoramic photographs to capture a large vista or wide angle view of a subject. This involves taking a number of photographs at discrete points of view to completely cover the range you wish to show, then digitally stitch the individual images together to create a large panoramic image. This is used very often for large landscape photographs but can be used in other situations to create a wide angle perspective of the the photographic scene.
Here is a small collection of some panoramic images I have created from multiple individual images.
