Winchester, UK

Winchester is a cathedral city in Hampshire, England, UK around 97 km south-west of London. Winchester developed from the Roman town of Venta Belgarum which in turn developed from an Iron Age settlement so it is full of historical interest. It has now become one of the most expensive and affluent areas in the UK.

The city’s major landmark is the magnificent Winchester Cathedral and it is also home to the University of Winchester and Winchester College, the oldest public school in the UK still using its original buildings.
