Monforte de Lemos is a town and municipality in Lugo, Galicia in north west Spain. It was the dominion of the House of Lemos. Its palace, from the 13th century and reformed in the 16th, preserves paintings from the walls, the tribute tower and some emblazoned doors.
The College of Nosa Señora da Antiga is located in Monforte de Lemos,and is built in the Herreriano style. It was built in 1523 by the Cardinal of Seville, Don Rodrigo de Castro.
