R&R in Pangkor Laut Resort

Pangkor Laut Resort is a 5-star luxury resort on a private island on the west coast of Malaysia and is a wonderful spot for a few days of relaxation. It offers a variety of accomodation from garden villas to sea villas on the sea and a number of restaurants to choose from. There are many activities you can do such as swimming, jungle trekking, tennis, squash, and there is also a gymnasium, and a library. Spa treatments are available at the Spa Village with its own outdoor whirlpool, yoga pavilion, nap gazebo, steam room and private treatment area. You can also arrange a sunset cruise and chartered luxury cruises.

Arriving at the Marina Island Jetty Complex whereyou checkin for your stay it is then a short 10 minute transfer by private speedboat to the island resort.

The rooms in the garden villas have recently been refurbished and have a nice balcony you can sit out on and offering a view over the seafront. Beach Villas are right on the sea front and the Sea Villas are located on the sea on stilts

In front of the main hotel lobby area is a pleasant walk along the sea front and there is a large main swimming pool directly fronting the sea.

Sea Villas & Spa Village

Walking further along past the Sea villas and the Fisherman’s Cove Restaurant brings you to Spa Village with another beautiful small swimming pool.

Emerald Bay

A short shuttle bus drive over the hill to the west side of the island brings you to the beautiful Emerald Bay where you can relax under the shady palms, take a swim or have drinks and food at Chapman’s Bar or a sunset dinner on the beach. This is a popular spot at sunset for drinks as you watch the sun sink down into the sea.

Jungle Trek

There are a few trails through the jungle on the island with a short trail of araound 500m running from Spa Village over to Emerald Bay and a longer and more challenging Southern Perimeter Trail of around 2.4km.
