Auckland, New Zealand

We had a 2 day stop in Auckland duriing our New Zealand cruise giving us the opportunity to explore this wonderful city. The ship docked right next to the city centre so it was so easy to walk off the ship and walk around the downtown area.

Auckland Domain

From Auckland Domain we walked back to the downtown area again passing some wonderful old historical buildings in the University area. We walked to the Britomart Shopping Mall on the waterfron which had a variety of upmarket shops, cafes and restaurants before heading back to our ship.

Devenport

On day two of our visit to Auckland we took the ferry across the bay and visited the quaint suburb of Devenport. There were some lovely old art deco style buildings in Devenport with many cafes and restaurants. We walked to the top of Mount Victoria which gave us wonderful panormaic views back to Auckland.

Departure from Auckland

When we sailed out from Auckland we had a wonderful view of the city and the surrounding areas such as Devenport which we had visited giving us a different perspective.
