Walking west along the Fife Coastal Path from Dalgety Bay towards Inverkeithing changes from a scenic shoreline walk to something of a more industrial setting. As you near Inverkeithing there are a number of ship yards and industrial complexes and an old long pier running out into the Firth of Forth. There is a very small harbour at Inverkeithing with a few boats moored there right next to the town.
Heading back east again you can walk slightly inland to view the dramatic Prestonhill Quarry.
