We took a cruise on Silver Seas “Silver Spirit” in October/November 2024 departing from Fusina, Port for Venice (Italy) and visiting Trieste (Italy), Ravenna (Italy), Opatija (Croatia), Split (Croatia), Dubrovnik (Croatia), Bari (Italy), Corfu (Greece), Heraklion (Greece), Santorini (Greece) and finally docking in Athens (Greece).

Dubrovnik, located in southern Croatia along the Adriatic Sea, is a stunning coastal city renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture and rich cultural heritage. Often referred to as the “Pearl of the Adriatic,” Dubrovnik is famous for its iconic fortified Old Town, encircled by massive stone walls dating back to the 16th century. This historic core, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, features charming cobblestone streets, Baroque buildings, and landmarks such as the Rector’s Palace, Sponza Palace, and the Franciscan Monastery. Dubrovnik’s picturesque setting, combined with its historical significance and role as a filming location for popular media like Game of Thrones, makes it one of Croatia’s most popular tourist destinations.

Cavtat
Just south of Dubrovnik is Cavtat, a charming town situated on the Adriatic Sea. It is known for its picturesque setting, rich history, and beautiful architecture.
