Bernina Express, Switzerland

The Bernina Express is a Panorama Express train connecting Chur to Poschiavo in Switzerland and Tirano in Italy by crossing the Swiss Engadin Alps. For most of its journey, the train also runs along the World Heritage Site known as the Rhaetian Railway in the Albula / Bernina Landscapes.

We boarded the train in St. Moritz and had a beautiful scenic journey through the mountains and eventually descending to Tirano in Italy. We stopped at a small station, Alp Grüm, and had the opportunity to alight and take some wonderful photos of the magnificent panorama with snow-capped mountains, waterfalls and stunning Autumn colours.
