Bridgetown, WA, Australia

Bridgetown is a town in the South West region of Western Australia, around 270 km south of Perth on the Blackwood River at the intersection of South Western Highway with Brockman Highway to Nannup and Augusta. It is a small quaint rural town with one main street of shops, hotels and a few restaurants.

My old friend Brian Wickins happened to be in Bridgetown when we arrived and had just set up his food trailer to serve up some delicious lamb sate and lamb burgers along with his wife, Adriana. It was great to catch up with him and sit down in the market square and sample the sate and the burger – all delicious.

We stayed in the Shambhala Guest House in the hills just on the outskirts of Bridgetown. there was a glorious view from the grounds at the guest house over the rolling hilly landscape and in the morning there was lots of mist creating a beautiful atmosphere.
