Just 32 km west of Lisbon in Portugal on the Portuguese Riviera is the picturesque coastal resort town of Cascais. The town is situated on a coastline of beautiful sandy beaches and has retained its traditional and charming Portuguese character despite being a popular resort town. The historic centre of Cascais has 19th-century villas, an imposing fort and interesting museums. There are many great restaurants and bars dotted along the small cobbled streets and some interesting architecture to appreciate.
