We took a 2 week cruise on Holland America’s MS Westerdam ship starting from Yokohama and stopping at Naha and Ishigaki in Okinawa, Hualien and Keelung in Taiwan and Kagoshima, Aburatsu, Kochi, Osaka and Shimizu in Japan before returning to Yokohama.

We boarded the MS Westerdam on 27th March at the rather unique looking Osanbashi Yokohama International Passenger Terminal and early evening we headed out and under the Yokohama Bay Bridge for a 2 day sail south towards our first port of call, Naha in Okinawa.
The 2 day sail gave us plenty of opportunity to relax, get to know our way around the ship and check out all the food outlets.
