We took a lovely walk with my Aunt and Uncle starting from Balbirnie Park in Markinch, Fife over to the Formonthills area and back. The walk took us through beautiful woodland, skirted the golf course and there was also a unique stone circle to see on the route.
The Balbirnie Stone Circle, which we had seen on a previous visit, was moved from its original location which is now marked by a series of wooden stakes so it was interesting to see this location.
At Formonthills we paid our respects to my mother who passed away and a good friend had dedicated a tree in this wood estate to her memory. We placed some flowers at the base of the tree.
At the end of the walk we passed the Balbirnie House Hotel which has fond memories as this is where I got married.
