During a road trip around Scotland with my mother in 2014 we stopped at the lovely Shieldaig Lodge Hotel just outside Gairloch. Shieldaig Lodge is a recently refurbished Victorian hunting lodge set in a 26,000 acre estate amongst stunning scenery of the West Highlands nestled next to Shieldaig Bay. Situated a short distance from the Highland village of Gairloch, the hotel retains the warm and welcoming atmosphere of its original 19th century origins.
