Wizard’s Walk, Kirkcaldy, Scotland

In my hometown of Kirkcaldy in Scotland, there is a very good walk known as the Wizard’s Walk. This short walk starting from Kirkcaldy’s popular Beveridge Park takes you through mixed woodland and down to the Raith Lake. Most of the paths have a gravel surface although some may be a bit muddy after heavy rain particularly around the Raith Lake. It was early January when we did this walk so there were very few leaves on the trees. The weather was cold but sunny so the conditions were perfect for a nice walk in the woods.

Raith Lake

Very close to the end of the Wizard’s Walk and on the other side of the B925 road into Kirkcaldy you can take a short walk around Raith Lake which is part of the Raith Estate.
