Heading north towards Gairloch we made a stop for lunch at the wonderful Coul House Hotel in Contin just next to Strathpeffer. Over many years the owners of the hotel have renovated and upgraded the hotel and it is now a beautiful place to stay or just to sop for some food and refreshments. The extensive grounds have some magnificent old giant sequoia trees from California and even a small pitch and putt course on the lawn in front of the hotel.
