Nostalgic Scotland 1993 – Dunnottar Castle

On a visit to Scotland in 1993 we did a road trip taking in many places. Leaving Edinburgh we headed up to Aberdeen on the north east coast and visited Dunnottar Castle at Stonehaven.

Dunnottar Castle is a ruined medieval fortress located upon a rocky headland on the northeastern coast of Scotland, about 2 miles south of Stonehaven. The surviving buildings are largely of the 15th and 16th centuries, but the site is believed to have been fortified in the Early Middle Ages.

These photos were captured on a Canon film camera and the negatives subsequently scanned and then post processed in Capture One Pro. The image quality in many cases is poor as many of the negatives were damaged by heat and humidity over time.
